WINSTED AMBULANCE EXPLORER POST 162

Winsted Ambulance Explorer Post 162 is comprised of young people ages 14-21 with an interest in EMS.  Explorers participate in training, exercises, community service, and have the opportunity to participate in a ride-along program with Winsted Ambulance.  In the ride-along program explorers ride on emergency calls.  Once explorers become certified they can assist in patient care under supervision.  Some training offered to explorers includes CPR/AED training, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) classes, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes.  The explorers are part of the Boy Scouts of America exploring program.  Post 162 meets from 5:00 – 7:00 pm every Sunday at Winsted Ambulance Headquarters.  Feel free to stop by, bring a parent, bring a sibling or friend…we’d love to see you!

The Explorer Post has an ongoing fundraiser to raise funds for training and uniforms, but to also benefit the community!
