WINSTED AMBULANCE EXPLORER POST 162

Winsted Ambulance Explorer Post 162 is comprised of young people ages 14-21 with an interest in EMS.  Explorers participate in training, exercises, community service, and have the opportunity to participate in a ride-along program with Winsted Ambulance.  In the ride-along program explorers ride on emergency calls.  Once explorers become certified they can assist in patient care under supervision.  Some training offered to explorers includes CPR/AED training, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) classes, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes.  The explorers are part of the Boy Scouts of America exploring program.

The Explorer Post has an ongoing fundraiser to raise funds for training and uniforms, but to also benefit the community!
